Candice Komar is a founding member of Pollock Begg Komar Glasser LLC. Formerly a shareholder of Buchanan Ingersoll, she litigates in all areas of family law and concentrates on equitable distribution issues, child custody, and spousal and child support. Ms. Komar is a 1986 graduate of the University of Dayton Law School, where she served as associate legislative note editor of the Law Review. She earned dual Bachelor Degrees in English and Business from the University of Pittsburgh in 1982. Candice has lectured for Allegheny County Bar Association educational programs and the Duquesne University Lawyer’s Practicum, and has attended numerous family law seminars sponsored by the Pennsylvania Bar Association. She has also conducted a one-day seminar on family law for the National Business Institute. She also has discussed premarital agreements on TV's "Money Talk." Ms. Komar was a member of the steering committee that founded the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Matrimonial Inns of Court, where she participated as a Barrister and served as secretary/treasurer to the organization. Candice has served on the board of directors of the Dance Alloy and as a member of the Junior League of Pittsburgh. Ms. Komar has been a regular presenter for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute teaching family law topics to fellow attorneys. Candice obtained a one year Certification in Constellation Therapy through the Hellinger Learning Institute of Western Pennsylvania. She is also a Fellow of the Allegheny County Bar Foundation and has gained a certification in Collaborative Law.
